Flooding Subsides
Since Hurricane Alex made landfall June 30 causing torrential rainfall throughout northern Mexico, the Valley's two major dams Falcon and Anzalduas have released record amounts of water into the bay and Gulf of Mexico...and just in case you were wondering how much...the IBWC has just released these startling estimates to Action 4 News...approximately 39.4 billion gallons or 145,000 acre feet has flowed into the Lower Laguna Madre and approximately 57.3 billion gallons or 211,000 acre feet has flowed into the Gulf of Mexico...Richard Moore brings us the behind the scene story of how the IBWC successfully managed this historic flood.

The 71st Texas International Fishing Tournament is in the record books, and it was a spectacular event. One thousand two hundred and twenty-two anglers competed in the bay and offshore divisions.
The bay grand champion is Albert Pena from Corpus Christi, and he brought in just over 28 pounds for the two-day tournament.
